The Azure Gale is a 40.5-inch masterpiece of Japanese-inspired metallurgy, hand-forged from Damascus folded steel. Our master smiths repeatedly weld and fold the metal to purge impurities, creating a blade of exceptional character with a visible, organic grain pattern (Hada) that ripples like the wind. Featuring a traditional Shinogi Zukuri profile and an integrated Bohi (blood groove) for perfect balance and a swift, audible swing, this blade is forged for those who appreciate the Sovereign Standard of functional art. We recommend a light application of traditional Choji oil or high-grade mineral oil every few weeks to maintain the clarity of the Damascus grain. Avoid storing the blade in damp areas or in direct sunlight, which can stress the hand-lacquered wood of the Saya. By keeping the steel dry and lightly oiled, you ensure that the soul of this blade remains as sharp and vibrant as the day it left our family forge.
